Transitions

As part of Transitions, Jester presents the video installation Super Taboo by Su Hui-Yu, and the three video installation Hommage à... by Lili Dujourie, both at Jan van Eyck Academy, Maastricht. We also present an over four hour long film programme at the Lumière Cinema, Maastricht on March 13th. The programme expands on the concept of the exhibition Charming for the Revolution and presents cutting-edge video art and short films concerned with the representation of the body’s sexuality and labour.

Transitions is a celebration of adventurous filmmaking in its many shapes and sounds. Taking place over six days in Maastricht (NL), it brings together boundary-defying audiovisual makers and those who appreciate and support them. Combining unique film programs with installations and workshops, it is a homecoming for intuitive filmmakers and open-hearted audiences. Transitions has been initiated by Video Power and has a multi-voiced curatorial approach, featuring walking routes and a thorough inclusion of knowledge and experience present in the Euregion.

Super Taboo can be visited between 09.03 and 14.03 at the Jan van Eyck Academy, Maastricht.

Film programme will be screened at the Lumière Cinema in Maastricht, on 13.03.
