Infrastructure

Jester's studio building features several professionally equipped workshops and multi-functional studios. The facilities are used by artists undertaking a residency at Jester, or preparing an exhibition. View here the inventory of our infrastructure.

Wood workshop

The woodworking workshop is equipped with tools for all kinds of operations: sawing, sanding, routing, thickness planing, mortising, ... . In addition, there is an extensive collection of smaller devices (cordless drills, hand saws, sanders, a Domino and Lamello jointing machine) and a wide range of hand tools.

Metal workshop

The metal workshop is equipped with machines for processing various types of metal: TIG welding, semi-automatic welding, and oxy-acetylene welding, sawing, sanding, grinding, cutting, and bending. The space can be used for various purposes.

Pottery workshop

The studio is equipped with two kilns (internal dimensions: 60x60x80 cm and 38x38x45 cm) that reach temperatures of 1320 and 1080 degrees Celsius, respectively. The kilns are programmable and fully equipped for bisque firing, glazing, and firing porcelain. Beyond the kilns, our ceramics studio also features a sandblasting cabinet and a melting furnace for glass and flat glass. Additionally, all necessary tools for processing and working with clay and porcelain are available.

Digital studio

The digital studio has an Apple Mac equipped with several programs for digital image editing. We have equipment for audiovisual production and presentation: screens and projectors, but also older media such as DVD players and slide projectors. Here you can also convert analog media (including outdated material like slides and film negatives) to digital. Additionally, there is a portable 3D scanner for quickly digitizing objects for further processing.

Multifunctional studio

Multifunctional Studios. The studio building houses three bright studios, each with its own character and scale. They offer space for research, experimentation, and reflection, a place where artists can evolve their practice during their residency.

Art Gallery

The Kunsthal is at the heart of Jester's exhibition program. With a spacious hall where visual art and performances can be shown to an audience, it accommodates diverse artistic projects.
