Sadrie Alves

Sadrie Alves (°1997, BR/BE) works across visual arts and performance, bringing together intercultural melodies and narratives, as well as the beings that inhabit them. Her practice is materialized across various media, including works on paper, video, text, textiles and sculpture. The story is a conduit by which she navigates different temporalities, recomposing them through a simultaneously critical and loving lens. Intergenerational curses, syncretic elements, lullabies, folklores, and obscured histories are woven together within an autofictional approach.
